On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will be seen essaying the role of Sehmat in the Indian period thriller film, Raazi directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Karan Johar opposite Vicky Kaushal. The film which is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 is scheduled for release on 11 May 2018. She will also be seen in Gully Boy opposite Ranveer Singh, directed by Zoya Akhtar which is a coming-of-age story based on the lives of street rappers in Mumbai and the sci-fi thriller Brahmastra opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
