Kolamaavu Kokila: Nayanthara as a DRUG peddler is bound to baffle you in this trailer!

Nayanthara is one of the most impressive actresses down South and one can totally expect a film to ride on her shoulders! If you don’t believe us, we have Aramm for which she went on to win Filmfare awards. And not surprisingly, the actress is taking forward her image with strong female protagonist roles in films like Imaikaa Nodigal and Kolamaavu Kokila. The recently released trailer of the CoCo definitely leaves us impressed and the reason for it yet again is Nayanthara!

And what will leave you stumped is her unconventional role. She is neither a politician nor a cop but a drug peddler in the film. With an innocent face and simple pavada-blouse, you will see Nayanthara trying to make ends meet but with her hard earned money by peddling drugs. Helping her in this endeavor and making her presence felt is also Saranya, who is of late seen as a mother quite frequently in many Kollywood films.

Coming from a lower middle class background, Nayanthara comes across as a desperate girl who tries to help her family, albeit following the path of crime. But will her path prove to be beneficial or will it prove more dangerous for her family is what the trailer revolves around. Yogi Babu adds the humour element in this teaser and we only get brief glimpses of other characters. Yet, the teaser of Kolamaavu Kokila looks every bit power packed. Here’s a glimpse of it:

Whether it is the presence of Nayanthara on screen or the unconventional plot line that seems to be the flavor of Kollywood these days, we don’t know. But definitely the teaser has only made the anticipation higher for this film.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Kolamaavu Kokila, that is also called CoCo, is produced by Lyca Productions. The film is also said to star Saravanan, R.S. Shivaji, Cheenu Mohan, Anbu Thasan amongst others. With cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan, the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
