Rajkummar Rao's Newton wins ‘Best Film’ award at Hong Kong International Film Festival

In a very short span of time, Rajkummar Rao showed his versatility in varied roles that he has done so far in his career. Irrespective of the Box-Office results, Rajkummar Rao has always been appreciated by everyone for his flawless performances.

He delivered one such performance in the upcoming film Newton, the very film which has now won the ‘Jury Prize’ for ‘Best Film’ at the prestigious ‘Hong Kong International Film Festival’. Rajkummar Rao shared the good news with all his fans stating, “After Berlinale win, another feather in Newton’s cap. Won the Jury Prize for Best Film at the Hong Kong International Film Festival.” Prior to this, Newton had won the ‘International Federation of Art Cinemas’ (CICAE) award in its ‘Forum’ segment at the recently held Berlin Film Festival. Besides Rajkummar Rao, Netwon also stars Pankaj Tripathi. Anjali Patil and Raghubir Yadav in principal roles. The film has been directed by Amit Masurkar.

Readers may recall that Rajkummar Rao recently shocked everyone with his extremely unrecognizable look from the forthcoming film Raabta. Even though he plays a cameo in the film, he is reportedly the turning point of the film.
