Elli began her note with a prayerful farewell, writing, “Rip Jiajiam 31-08-2025. It’s been a blessing to grow up with my grandparents. Despite the heartbreak of knowing the journey of my grandmother has now ended in this dimension, I’m at peace, knowing she’s now united with papou (grandpa).”

In her message, Elli reflected on the deep bond she shared with her grandmother, recalling countless special moments from her childhood. “All I can do is to remember all beautiful moments I have got to share with her since my childhood. She had the funniest dark humour and our kitchen conversations were always endless!” she added.

The actress also reminded fans that many had witnessed her grandmother through her Instagram stories over the years, until dementia began to take a toll. She concluded the note with a moving farewell in Greek: “Mou lipis jiajiam s’agapo gia panda. Om Shanti.” (Translation: “I miss you grandma, I love you forever.”)
