Review - The year is 1920 and the house isolated in the wilderness has a secret. It is waiting for the curse to come true. For years, everyone who has bought the house and tried to pull it down has died of mysterious circumstances. It is like the house has a will and a life of its own. Arjun (Rajneesh) and his wife (Ada Sharma) move into the house. He has been given the task of pulling it down and making a hotel there. The house has been waiting for them. The curse has come true. The haunting begins. Arjun's wife is more the victim of the haunting than Arjun. Strange and inexplicable events start taking place. The house has secrets that make enemies of the couple. They begin to doubt each other. Arjun's wife begins to confide in the priest (Raj Zutshi) and a doctor. None of them can solve the problems between the husband and wife. The house watches as the game of death begins between the couple. After 6 long years, Vikram Bhatt finally gets a hit & yet again (after "Raaz"), his charm works again in a horror flick & the box-office states it. The movie surprisingly worked well & actually is something different in Bollywood. Not much known actors, but still, "1920" is a hit. Vikram Bhatt did a good work this time, a fine artistic work this time. The cinematography is very pleasant & the locations of the movie are absolutely beautiful. The performances are fine. The leading actors are new-comers. Rajneesh was just ok, he needs to improve, but Ada was impressive. She did her part well with all her scary acts. Raj Zutshi acted well, the way he does most of the times. Vipin Sharma is a very talented actor, who performs very well (of "TZP" fame). He already has 3 hits in his career including "1920". And what is so special about "1920"? It is the story, it has it's freshness & it works magnificiently. The background music had nothing special (Raju), but the songs were fine, specially the song "Vaada", it's a song with a soul in it, it's too good, songs have been composed by Adnan Sami. Surprisingly good enough, with some chilling moments in the second half. Good work.
