Rana Daggubati compares Baahubali to Star Wars from the 70s

Actor Rana Daggubati was looking forward to the release of his multi-lingual film Haathi Mere Saathi before the lockdown. However, owing to the pandemic and lockdown the release of the film was pushed indefinitely. The actor is well known for his villainous act in Baahubali. Recently, in an interview, the actor spoke about the film that changed the face of Indian cinema all over the world.

 

Rana Daggubati compares Baahubali to Star Wars from the 70s

 

Rana Daggubati has played a variety of roles in both Hindi cinema and Telugu cinema. In an interview with a tabloid, the actor spoke about how he manages between both South and Hindi films. The actor said that he was aware that he will not be able to be a part of the pop culture of Bollywood as Telugu films take 10-12 months to wrap a film. So, instead, he chose to focus on scripts that's led to interesting career choices.

 

Rana started working in the industry as visual effects coordinator and was a part of one of the epic visual extravaganza film franchise, Baahubali. Talking about the epic, he said that no one on the set had done anything like a Baahubali before, be it an actor or a technician. The actor said that it is like being in an acting school and a visual effects school at once with SS Rajamouli as the teacher. He compared the film to that of Star Wars in the 70s, a landmark film that changed cinema forever.
