Janhvi Kapoor turns 28: RC 16 director Buchi Babu Sana celebrates her birthday with heartfelt note
Director Buchi Babu Sana, the visionary behind the much-anticipated Telugu film RC 16, took to social media today to extend a heartfelt birthday wish to the film’s leading lady, Janhvi Kapoor, who celebrates her 28th birthday. The sweet gesture has further heightened excitement among fans eagerly awaiting the sports drama starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, marking their first on-screen collaboration.
Buchi Babu Sana shared his birthday message for Janhvi on X, reflecting on their collaboration and expressing enthusiasm for her role in RC 16. This isn’t the first time Buchi Babu has celebrated Janhvi’s involvement; last year, on her 27th birthday, he welcomed her aboard the project with a warm message, signaling the start of their creative journey together.
RC 16, tentatively titled as Ram Charan’s 16th film, is a rural sports drama reportedly centered around Kabaddi, set against the backdrop of Uttarandhra. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Vriddhi Cinemas, and Sukumar Writings, the film promises a Pan-India appeal with its grand scale and stellar cast. Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the movie features seasoned actor Jagapathi Babu and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar, with music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman.
The film went on floors in Mysuru on November 22, 2024, with Buchi Babu sharing an update from the Sri Chamundeshwari Temple, a moment Janhvi had reacted to with excitement online.
Janhvi Kapoor, making her second foray into Telugu cinema after her debut in Devara: Part 1 alongside Jr NTR, has been a focal point of anticipation for RC 16. Her casting was officially announced on her birthday last year, March 6, 2024, by Mythri Movie Makers, who described her as a “celestial beauty” joining the project.
