“I envied you for the constant quality of your work,” writes Kamal Haasan wishing Mohanlal on his 60th birthday

Mohanlal turns 60 today. The actor who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema made his acting debut in 1980 with the film Manjil Virinja Pookal in a negative role. It has been forty years since and the actor has featured in more than 346 films which include Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films.

As he turns 60, actors have been pouring in their good wishes and sharing their memories with the actor on social media. Actor Kamal Haasan too took to Twitter to wish the actor. He said that he envied Mohanlal for his quality of work. "Dear Mr.@Mohanlal. I liked you from your first film. I envied you for the constant quality of your work, that too with detractors lurking in every turn. I liked you even more when I worked with you. Long live my younger brother," he wrote.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mohanlal has some interesting films lined up including Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, Lucifer sequel Empuraan, Jeethu Joseph’s Ram and his own directorial debut Barroz. On his birthday, the actor also announced the sequel of Drishyam.
