Dulquer Salmaan has the sweetest ‘congratulatory’ message for his father Mammootty who won the Kerala State Award

Mammootty, who has experimented with many roles, had collaborated with Lijo Jose Pellisery, for one of a kind spiritual-fantasy drama titled Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam where the actor was seen portraying two completely different characters. Now, the actor bagged the Best Actor Award at the Kerala State Awards 2023 owing to his performance in the movie and his son and Pan-India star Dulquer Salmaan couldn’t be more proud. He took to social media to express his pride over his father’s achievements.

On July 21, the Kerala State Awards 2023 announced its winners including Mammootty as the Best Actor. Followed by the achievement, wherein the Malayalam superstar won this prestigious honor for the fifth time, many congratulatory messages started pouring in. Among them was also the proud son Dulquer Salmaan who shared a blurry photo of the superstar along with the caption that read, ‘Bestest’. In the past, Dulquer has never shied away from talking about his father’s immense achievements and is often seen dedicating such sweet posts to him.

 

 

Besides Dulquer, Mammootty’s colleague and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, among many others also shared their congratulatory messages on social media.

 

Talking about Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, the film also featured Ramya Suvi, Ramya Pandian, Ashokan, Poo Ramu, among others. The film revolves around James, who after a visit to Velankani in Tamil Nadu, decides to stop the bus in a village and while the tourists are napping, he decides to take on a different identity of a man named Sundaram. The film deals with the issues of insomnia, sleep issues, and fantasy as it continues to leave audiences confused about the real state of mind James is in.

 

On the work front, Mammootty is currently gearing up for the release of Kaathal: The Core, which also stars Tamil female superstar Jyothika. Besides that, the superstar has films like Bazooka, Kannur Squad and Bilal in the pipeline.
