Sushmita Sen shares a photo of her 17-year-old, 'not so confident' self

Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant in 1994, and got the world talking about her beauty and brilliance. We all have a turning point in life. Until then, you don't really understand what you are capable. The former beauty queen, on her Instagram, shared a throwback picture, clicked just before her turning point arrived!

The photo, clicked in Sushmita's school Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi, has herself and the entire class posing for a picture. 'Standing in this line-up, the 17 yr old (not so confident, introvert, naive) me had no idea that, just in a matter of another year, my life would change forever, as would my choices & thereby my personality???? This I call a #turningpoint one that awaits us all at different times & in unique ways,' she writes.

 

The actor also urged her followers to never stop believing and moving forward. 'Gratitude & love to all my teachers & everyone in this picture for being such an integral part of my journey leading up to that empowering turning point!!,' she added.

 

 

 

Sushmita is also the first Indian to have won the Miss Universe crown. The same year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was crowned as Miss India. Within two years of her win, Sushmita bagged her debut film Dastak and there was no looking back.
