Helicopter Eela, directed by Pradeep Sarkar features Kajol in the lead role as an aspiring singer and single mother and is based on the Gujarati play Beta, Kaagdo, written by Anand Gandhi. What happens when an over-protective but cool mother joins his son's college to spend more time with him! The plot comprises of a chirpy banter between the cool mother-son duo along with a twist in the tale as her plans backfire and she suffers a backlash from Vivan for invading his privacy.
