"Shine on my friend": Akshay Kumar tells Ajay Devgn on his 100th film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior

Nearly three decades into the industry, Ajay Devgn is ready to strike a century now! With his upcoming release Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the actor will be touching upon his 100th film. That's a landmark to be celebrated! His friends and colleagues have been sending best wishes. Akshay Kumar also took to Twitter to convey heartiest wishes to his long-time friend!

“We started our journey in this industry together...30 years ago. And I’ve seen your graph only grow from strength to strength. And as you are all set to mark your century with #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, I wish you nothing but lots of love and luck. Shine on my friend,” he wrote.

 

 

Ajay rode into his Bollywood journey in 1991 with Phool Aur Kaante, and went on to win the Filmfare Award for the Best Male Debut. The same year, Akshay also debuted in Raj N. Sippy's Saugandh as a lead actor, after a minor role in Aaj. Their careers have progressed in different pace and shapes, but they stand to be two A-listers nevertheless.

 

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, also starring Saif Ali Khan in a pivotal role and Kajol in a brief guest appearance, revolves around Tanhaji Malusare, a military commander in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is slated to release on Jnauary 10, 2020.
