Rajdeep Choudhury beats London’s most dangerous Storm Eunice to work with Akshara Hassan and Satyajeet Dubey
Rajdeep Choudhury who has recently completed a film with Shaad Ali alongside actors like Ritesh Deshmukh, Genlia and Snehil Mehra has shared a true incident from another film Simulacra with Akshara Hassan and Satyajeet Dubey.
Speaking to Lokmat, Rajdeep said, “It is one of those incidents that you will find yourself speaking about somewhere or the other for some time”. Raj was called urgently by the casting team to meet the director of the film on the 1st day of shoot. He remembers that there was a red alert on London city that day and people were strictly advised not to go out. However, for every actor work takes precedence and you take those risks.
As Rajdeep went out by Uber to meet the crew he saw debris flying around and there was absolutely no one on the streets. A bit like a scene from the film Legends. The news on the car’s FM radio kept saying please go back home to everyone. Police were reporting that storm Eunice had ripped through many streets in London causing serious damage.
In the midst of all this somehow he managed to reach the set and was absolutely shocked to see Akshara and Satyajeet just chilling outside the front door of the house used for the first day of shoot. Rajdeep says, “I was amazed as the director and crew didn’t think of the storm or anything except the film. When I met the director it was just film talk no mention of weather. I immediately knew that I really wanted to work with this dedicated team!”
The shoot went so well and Akshara and Satyajeet were great fun to work with. Really chilled atmosphere on set.
