Back in 2007 Shah Rukh Khan featured in a film that was based on hockey that told the story of a motley crew of girls who took on the odds and won. In fact the film titled Chak De India! Directed by Shimit Amin went on to become a roaring success paving the path for more sports biopic films to be made.
