Atlee graces special Jawan screening for real-life heroes, expresses gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan; says, “The entire team that has worked on the film for the past three and a half years”

A special screening of the highly anticipated Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, Jawan, took place on a memorable Sunday night, September 10, in Mumbai. This event was meticulously organized to pay tribute to the real-life heroes of India – the Indian Army personnel, police officers, and dedicated traffic police personnel. Atlee, the director who made his Bollywood debut with the adrenaline-pumping action extravaganza Jawan, graced the screening with his presence. This unique gathering, held to celebrate and acknowledge the courageous efforts of these real-life heroes, was a heartfelt gesture by the film's creators.

Following the screening, Atlee took a few moments to engage with members of the media, sharing his thoughts on the overwhelming response that Jawan has garnered across the nation. In a humble expression of gratitude, he remarked, “It is very overwhelming, it is actually God's blessing. God has been kind to us, I think we have done our part as a filmmaker to entertain the audiences. Whatever we wished that it would entertain people, it has worked among the audiences in the theatres. People are really happy about it and showering their love on the film.”

 

Atlee further extended his appreciation to Shah Rukh Khan, the entire Red Chillies team, and the dedicated cast and crew who poured their hearts into the project over the course of three and a half years. Their collective efforts have undoubtedly contributed to the film's resounding success. He said, “Mainly, it's all because of Shah Rukh sir, the Red Chillies team, and the entire team that has worked on the film for the past three and a half years.”

 

Reflecting on the immense love and support Jawan has received, Atlee shared his vision for the future, stating that their primary goal was to entertain the audience. The overwhelming response, he added, has invigorated them to strive for greatness in their upcoming projects, promising to deliver “something great in the next film as well.”

 

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film released on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
