Box Office Day 1 update: Bunty Aur Babli 2 opens slow at 10%

After the mega release SOORYAVANSHI that took theatres by storm this week we see the release of the Saif Ali Khan – Rani Mukerji starrer BUNTY AUR BABLI 2. A sequel to the 2005 film, the Varun V Sharma directed feature also stars Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Sharvari. But will BUNTY AUR BABLI 2 continue the steak started by the Akshay Kumar starrer or will it face an uphill task is the question of the hour.

Reports state that BUNTY AUR BABLI 2 has taken off on a rather sluggish note with occupancy rate during morning shows being pegged at just 10%. Though the film has opened on a considerably low key, trade predictions state that it is likely to see an increase in footfalls over afternoon shows. However, the less than appreciative reviews and the lacklustre word of mouth will certainly affect the film’s overall business.

 

On the whole, despite releasing on a holiday weekend BUNTY AUR BABLI 2 faces an uphill task to entice the audience.
