BO update: KATTI BATTI gets off to a slow start
After last week's much talked about release HERO missing its mark at the box office, this week we see new contenders in the form of KATTI BATTI, MESSENGER OF GOD 2 (MSG 2) and MEERUTHIYA GANGSTERS hitting screens. From the three it is the Imran Khan, Kangna Ranaut starrer KATTI BATTI that is expected to take the lead, while the other two that feature limited releases will have to fight it out relying on audience spill over and word of mouth.
BO update: KATTI BATTI gets off to a slow start
Reports coming in suggest that KATTI BATTI despite being promoted well has taken off to a slow start with occupancy rate ranging between 30%- 35% during morning shows. On the other hand, MSG 2 and MEERUTHIYA GANGSTERS, both of which feature limited shows are not really expected to post huge collection figures. However, KATTI BATTI is expected to face a bit of competition from Hollywood releases EVEREST and BLACK MASS in certain regions.
On the whole, KATTI BATTI that has received mixed reviews from the critics will have to rely on the audience, hoping for positive feedback and good word of mouth.
