BO update: Happy New Year to set new records

 

After the previous week's non starters, all eyes have been on the next release HAPPY NEW YEAR. The Farah Khan directed multi starrer featuring Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah has been one of the most talked about and anticipated films of recent times.

As expected, HAPPY NEW YEAR (HNY) has opened on a high note with occupancy rates across the country hovering close to 90%. In fact the film has high chances of posting record breaking opening day figures. Interestingly, the film's advance bookings too were met with phenomenal response. This coupled with the massive opening hints at an exceptional weekend with gigantic numbers on the cards. Besides, being a solo release with most of the previous releases already off screens, HNY has a clear week to post massive collections.

 

Overall with evening and night shows expecting to go houseful, all that remains is to see when and how does the film manage to break previously established collection records.
