Sam Bahadur Worldwide Box Office: Becomes Vicky Kaushal’s 2nd consecutive Rs. 100 crores grosser

This year has seen not one but several monstrous hits in the form of Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan and the latest release Animal. The aforementioned films have not only been successful at the box office but have also reached the coveted Rs. 500 Crores Club. However, amongst these films, there have also been some smaller ones that have been successful in their own rights. Vicky Kaushal starred in two such films this year.

Earlier in the year, Vicky’s Zara Hatke Zara Bachke became a sleeper hit. Directed by Laxman Utekar and also starring Sara Ali Khan, the family comedy earned Rs. 115.89 crores at the worldwide box office.

 

The actor’s next release, Sam Bahadur, which released earlier this month on December 1, has so far earned Rs. 103.97 crores at the worldwide box office. The feat achieved by this film is even bigger considering it was released on the same day as the box office juggernaut Animal. Directed by Meghna Gulzar and also starring Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sam Bahadur is the biopic of the chief of the army staff and the first Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw.

 

Vicky will next be seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. As the film is expected to earn big at the box office, it might become Vicky’s third consecutive Rs. 100 crores worldwide grosser in the same year. Also starring Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani, the movie is all set to release this week on December 21.
