Pushpa 2 (Hindi) becomes the 1st film to clock Rs. 100 crores plus in its 2nd weekend
Filmmaker and writer Sukumar’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, the second film in the Allu Arjun starrer action series, is literally ruling the roost at the ticket window. If the Hindi version of the first film Pushpa: The Rise became a surprise hit at the box office, the second one is breaking one record after another. Recently, it became the first film in Hindi to cross a gigantic milestone of Rs. 500 crores in just 10 days.
But that’s not all. After yesterday’s numbers are out, Pushpa 2 has now become the first film in Hindi to cross Rs. 100 crores in its second weekend. The film earned Rs 128 crores in the last three days, which is phenomenal to say the least.
Hence, Pushpa 2 is at the top of the list of highest earners in the second weekend. It overtook Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which earlier held the number one position with Rs. 95.39 crores. The third film in the list is the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer horror comedy Stree 2 with Rs. 93.85 crores.
The third, fourth and fifth places are held by Gadar 2 (Rs. 90.47 crores), Jawan (Rs. 88.66 crores) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs. 80.75 crores).
