Heropanti 2 Box Office Estimate Day 2: Drops on Saturday; collects Rs. 5.25 crores

After collecting approximately Rs. 6.50 crores on the opening day, Tiger Shroff's Heropanti 2 has seen a drop of about 15 to 25 percent on its second day. According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 5 to 5.50 crores to take the two day total to Rs. 11.25 crores.

The drop has come across the board - be it the national chains or the single screens - and much like the first day, the business here was also dominated by the three national chains - PVR, INOX and Cinepolis. The three multiplexes have contributed around 65 percent to the two day total of Heropanti 2 and generally, they are around 40 percent for a mass oriented film like this.

 

The drop on the second day after a lukewarm start isn't exactly an encouraging sign. The movie will most likely stay flat on Sunday as well, which means that the three day weekend biz will be around Rs. 16.75 to 17.25 crore. There is Eid Holiday on Tuesday followed by a partial holiday on account of Basi Eid on Wednesday, and it remains to be seen if Heropanti can make the most of these holidays.

 

It will face stiff competition from KGF 2, which is in its third week, at the mass belts from Monday as a lot of single screens might prefer to bring back the Yash starrer gangster drama to their properties, as that one is doing phenomenal business outscoring the new releases even in its third week. With a higher screen space on Eid, it will explode at another level, and the trend so far suggests that an explosion is there in the offing on the Eid Holiday.
