Box Office: Saansein - The Last Breath earns in B and C centers, collects 2.3 crores over the weekend

Friday Rs. 61.2 lakh

 

Saturday Rs. 79.6 lakh

Of course the numbers would have been better had the film managed to release in some of the premium multiplexes chains across the country as well. However, the arrival of Dear Zindagi meant that the film had very limited visibility in the A centers, and especially the multiplexes. Though the film did have an up-market look with eye pleasing visuals, especially due to songs, Saansein - The Last Breath primarily attracted traction at the single screen theaters.

 

This is where the film is doing decently and hence there was day by day growth evidenced as well. During the weekdays too, it is this very segment where the makers would be hoping for stable footfalls.

 

The fact that not many multiplexes screened Saansein - The Last Breath opens the question once again around whether it is an almost impossible task for a relatively small film to even manage a decent release without support of a corporate house! Despite reasonable production values, there are quite a few films that don't quite find a platform to make their presence felt, if not corroborated by big players in the game. So far, this Rajniesh Duggall, Sonarika Bhadoria and Hiten Tejwani film is trying to find audience entirely on its own, though situation could have been better had there been a much more rooted release.
