In a letter to this writer, Yash Raj Films P. Ltd. have clarified that the agreement for the satellite telecast of their two films, MUJHSE DOSTI KAROGE and MERE YAAR KI SHAADI HAI, has now been signed with M/s. Zee Telefilms Limited.
The letter continues, We had initial problems in our discussions which have finally been resolved and M/s. Zee Telefilms will now telecast these films on 7th November and 21st November respectively.
We would also like to clarify speculative reports that have been appearing in sections of the press. The above two films were released by us through our own offices in Bombay and our associate offices in Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab. The above films were released all over India on an advance basis, entirely at our own financial risk. Furthermore, we have compensated all our distributors for any losses incurred by them more than two months back.
