"Yes, Priyanka & I have sung together in Dil Dhadakne Do" - Farhan Akhtar

Farhan Akhtar has sung the first duet of his career, and that too for his sister's forthcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do.

 

And accompanying him on this geet trip is none other than our self-styled global crooner Priyanka Chopra who until recently was contract-bound to sing only for her international recording label.

Confirming the exciting combo of the Baritone and the seductress, Farhan said, "Yes, Priyanka and I have sung a duet in Dil Dhadakne Do."

 

So far Farhan had only rendered solo songs in Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara and Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

 

Priyanka begged off requests to sing in Zanjeer and Mary Kom claiming to be contract-bound. The temptation of singing with Farhan however liberated Ms Chopra.

 

According to sources, Farhan and Priyanka have sung a "smouldering smoky love ballad steeped in nostalgia and longing."

 

Needless to say the song has been filmed on Farhan and Priyanka, as neither actor-turned-singer is willing to playback for other actors.

 

Says Farhan, "I don't see myself giving voice to other actors. It just doesn't work for me."

 

As for Priyanka Chopra, one has ample reason to believe she wouldn't sing for other heroines...Not when the new breed of female actors are most eager to give voice to their own songs: Alia Bhatt in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya and Highway, Shraddha Kapoor in Ek Villain.
