Vidya Balan hospitalised for suspected kidney stones

We are just one day short of stepping into the New Year 2016. Just like us, most of the Bollywood celebs must have made some plans or the other to usher in the New Year. This year, however, Vidya Balan and family won't be in a celebratory mood because, she was rushed to Hinduja hospital and was admitted for suspected kidney stones. Vidya Balan and her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur were en route an undisclosed destination abroad to usher in the New Year when she experienced sudden pain.

 

A source close to the actress said, "The couple had already boarded a connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to their destination and while the aircraft was gearing for take-off, Vidya experienced shooting pain in her back. The pain was so severe that the paramedics were called on board and they were deplaned. Vidya was later taken to a clinic at the airport for examination. The couple took the next available flight back to Mumbai and upon return; Vidya Balan was admitted to Hinduja hospital. The couple have now cancelled their New Year plans. Vidya Balan is being treated for suspected kidney stone and will be discharged soon.

Confirming the news, Vidya's spokesperson said, "Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja hospital and is well on her way to recovery."
