Pritish and Aparna part ways

Director Aparna Sen and production house Pritish Nandy Communications have decided to part ways after almost 6 months of working together on Sen's first Hindi venture as a director titled Gulel. The reason for the dissociation cited by Nandy was that he found the script turning more towards the artistic side, while his production house supported popular entertainment. However, the filmmakers separated ways amicably. The only finalized starcast of Gulel so far, comprises of Ajay Devgan and Shabana Azmi. The leading lady of the film is still not finalized with Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor backing off due to date problems.
