Pre-independence look for Pinjar:

The moment you enter Film City, you get transported to the pre-independence era. Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, director of PINJAR, has recreated the state of Punjab as it was in the 1940s, and also recreated the Lahori Gate Bazar of Amritsar. The set looks authentic and those visiting the sets are bound to get awe-struck by its appearance. But what prompted Dr. Chandra Prakash to erect a mammoth set when he could've easily shot the film at the actual location itself? Since we're depicting a bygone era, the surroundings are not the same anymore. But we intend shooting a crucial scene at the actual venue, he divulges. Meanwhile, a replica of a village located on the Indo-Pak border has also been set up at the location. PINJAR stars Manoj Bajpai, Urmila Matondkar, Priyanshu, Sanjay Suri, Isha Koppikar, Sandali Sinha and Seema Biswas in stellar roles.
