'Pardes' writer to direct Manoj Bajpai

Neeraj Pathak, the pen behind Subhash Ghai's PARDES and Anees Bazmee's DEEWANGEE, is now all set to direct two films. While the first is yet untitled, the other is tentatively titled SURKH - THE BLOODY BATTLE. Elaborates Pathak, who is also working on Vikram Bhatt's JURM as a script writer, The first project is a realistic attempt at bringing to light the plight of a particular community, post-independence. SURKH, on the other hand, is an action-based story, tackling relevant, contemporary issues. Interesting! He further informs that the first project, starring Manoj Bajpai, is reaching completion. SURKH will go into production by November. I have just finished the scripting. As for the cast, Manoj Bajpai has been approached for the lead. Since it is a two-hero set up, hunt for the second male lead is on. Besides, Pathak has also bagged a Venus project, on which he is simultaneously working.
