Now theatres into April Fool jokes

We've often heard of actors playing pranks on April Fool's Day. But imagine a prominent exhibitor playing a joke! Well, that's what topnotch Mumbai distributor-exhibitor Shyam Shroff did on April 1 at his two multiplexes - Fame Adlabs and Fame Malad. Cinegoers who bought the tickets to watch the various new movies at the multiplexes were in for a shock when instead of say ZEHER or MY BROTHER NIKHIL, the management started screening MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S. There was an uproar and commotion, naturally, but after 5 minutes, the patrons were told that it was a mere joke. The screening of the actual film then commenced. I wanted to create a bigger hulla by screening a B & W classic [SARASWATICHANDRA], but my people mistakenly screened MUNNABHAI M.B.B.S., laughs Shyam Shroff. Well, the Shroffs do have a great sense of humour!
