No race with 'Aan': Rajkumar Santoshi:

Rajkumar Santoshi has denied all speculation that there's a race between his latest flick KHAKEE and Firoz A. Nadiadwala's AAN to reach the completion post first. Since the two films revolve around the police force, there had been talk that the respective makers want to hit the theatres before the other reaches first. But Santoshi vehemently denies this development. The common factors are Akshay Kumar and the fact that both revolve around the police. Perhaps, that must've led people to jump to conclusions, the director of GHAYAL, GHATAK and DAMINI tells me, But I did crosscheck with Akshay on the story of both the films and he very categorically mentioned that both are different. Incidentally, Santoshi is shooting his latest film sequence-wise, instead of shooting two songs, then the climax and then the beginning portions, like it happens at times. I'm shooting the film like it would unfold to the viewer when he watches the film. So far, we have already shot approx. 45% of the film, till almost the interval, he divulges. And yes, he also sets to rest the talk that the recent schedule went haywire due to Aishwarya Rai's accident on the sets. We barely missed out on 2 days' work, but that's okay, he says.
