Maria Susairaj to watch Not A Love Story

Mahie Gill is on tenterhooks, and not just because her crucial crime thriller has been released but also because news has come that Maria Susairaj has apparently taken up Ram Gopal Varma's offer. She has agreed to watch Not A Love Story which Ramu reiterates is 'not' the story of Maria Susairaj, but is definitely a love story.

 

And this is one love story with a tragic ending that Maria doesn't want to miss out on. She has therefore decided to watch the film based on her life in a very private screening that will be attended by leading lady Mahie Gill, the film's leading man Deepak Dobriyal, Ram Gopal Varma and producer Sunil Bohra. The screening is expected next week.

Interestingly, Ramu still refuses to show the film to Emile Jerome, the co-accused in the Neeraj Grover case.

 

Says a source close to Ramu, "Since Jerome has gone to court to obtain an injunction against the film, Ramu has no desire to show him the film. But Maria has ceased to use legal methods to see the film. Ramu wants to see Maria's reaction. At the private screenings before release, Ramu was surprised at how moved his colleagues from the film industry were. More than a crime thriller, it's an intense love story. So yes, Ramu is very keen to get Maria's responses. She is keen to watch it. Now some legal technicalities have to be looked into."

 

Apparently, Maria's lawyers have objected to her watching the film. Efforts are now at this moment to get Maria's legal team out of the screening's way.

 

Says Ramu, "Yes, I will be showing Maria the film. She has requested us. I'd be more than happy to show it to her. I want to see how she reacts to the film. At the moment she's fearful of stepping out of her home. We're trying."
