Long delayed Govinda-Priyanka film might finally release

Govinda, possibly, is an actor having maximum number of films delayed, stuck or shelved. Dil Laga Ke Dekho, Mastana, Yahhuu, Jahan Jaaeyega Hamen Paaeyega the list is long enough! Another project of his, Hum Do Hamara Ek (now renamed as Sandwich) has been waiting for a release date since 2002. Bekasoor? is an addition to this list. Does the title sound unfamiliar? Well this is the same film which was earlier titled as Ek Hasina Ek Diwana and has Priyanka Chopra as Govindas costar. Govinda with Priyanka Chopra quite an unusual pairing, isnt it? But this was when Priyanka was quite new in the industry and Govinda was an established actor. The scene is quite opposite today. Incidentally one of Priyanka Chopras other early movies Gandhi costarring Sunny Deol falls under the same league. The movie was shelved intermediately but is now being revived. Interestingly either of the films Gandhi or Ek Hasina Ek Diwana could have been the debut movie of Priyanka Chopra since she had signed both in her early days. But she finally debuted with The Hero. Back to Ek Hasina Ek Diwana, it was originally being written and directed by debutante Vincent Selva. However producer KC Bokadia has now taken over the film and has renamed it as Bekasoor?. Also Bokadia takes credit as both, the writer and director of the film. Vincent Selva features nowhere. This action, thriller also stars Nasir Khan, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Shakti Kapoor and Johny Lever. We just pray that this rechristened Govinda film finally sees the light of the day. Govindas fresh lot of films (in his second innings) include Priyadarshans Bhagam Bhag, Nikhil Advanis Salaam-e-Ishq, David Dhawans Partner and Mashhoor Amrohis Hum Laakh Chhupayein Pyaar ... Magar.
