The fact that DHOOM 2 has been shifted to November 24 spread like wild fire in the industry. Sensing that the seat occupied by DHOOM 2 is now vacant, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who had shifted JAAN-E-MANN from August 25 to November 17, has now decided to release the film on October 20. Yes, the Diwali/Idd week will now witness the clash of some of the biggest stars in the industry: SRK, Kareena, Priyanka [DON 2], Salman, Akshay, Preity [JAAN-E-MANN] and Abhishek, Aishwarya [UMRAO JAAN]. With DHOOM 2 not in the race, producer Sajid Nadiadwala immediately took the decision of placing JAAN-E-MANN on October 20, after a meeting with his distributors on Thursday, July 13 evening. JAAN-E-MANN is now arriving in Diwali. Weve just confirmed the release date with the exhibitors too, Denis Selarka of Ashtavinayak [the Mumbai distributor of JAAN-E-MANN] confirmed to this writer. So, as things stand today, its DON versus JAAN-E-MANN versus UMRAO JAAN on October 20.
