Danny contemplating direction:

They say, a man is a restless soul. Experimenting with something new enthralls him. That explains why a majority of our actors dream of taking up direction some day. A few of them have even changed lanes, like Dilip Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Rakesh Roshan, Kamal Haasan, Sunny Deol, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Hema Malini, Asha Parekh Danny Denzongpa, one of the most respected names of our industry, also nurtures this ambition of calling the shots one day. I have a couple of subjects that I intend directing. The problem is, when a producer approaches me to direct his film, he does so with a ready script in hand. But I am keen on directing films that excite me, Danny tells us. If thats the case, whats stopping the actor from producing the film himself, besides directing it? I want to keep away from the nitty-gritty of film production, he states instantly. According to him, the subject of his maiden film has a hard-hitting theme and he is just waiting for the right producer to knock on his door. Any takers?
