Rituparno Ghosh's Chokher Bali has been selected for the international competition section at the Locarno Film Festival between August 6th and 16th. The theme for this year's festival is passage historical, geographical and personal.
Chokher Bali is about a woman's fight for freedom set against a national struggle. The movie is currently in its post-production stages and is slated for October 2003 release.
