Amrita Arora gets 'all dressed up' for a Pakistani ad
After making three period films consecutively (Dhyaasparva, Anaahat and Paheli), Amol Palekar gets back to contemporary cinema with his latest film Quest. Interestingly while Palekar had made movies in Hindi and Marathi earlier, this is the first time that he has made an English film. In fact Quest is a bilingual film, titled Thaang in Marathi.
The film stars Mrinal Kulkarni, Rishi Deshpande, Shishir Sharma and Vijaya Mehta in l;ead roles. Amols wife Sandhya Gokhale has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film while Debu Deodhar is the cinematographer.
Marked by its very well edged screenplay, ace performances and adroit direction, Quest has been already selected in many foreign festivals. The Brisbane Film Festival of Australia will host the world premier of Quest on July 6, 2006. The film will be released in India in August 2006.
