Anil Sharma has decided to postpone his multi-hero flick AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO by a month. Originally scheduled for release on August 13 [coinciding with August 15 - the Independence Day of India], the film-maker has decided to reschedule its release to September now.
Reason? AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SAATHIYO requires a lot of computer graphics' work, which we haven't been able to complete yet. It's going to take time It's no point hurrying up the work and compromising on the quality, he tells me.
But with a tinge of sadness, the maker of GADAR does admit that he would've preferred August 13 as his release date. Ideally, a film with a patriotic theme should be released on these dates [January 26 or August 15]. But a few things are beyond a producer's control, he adds.
Incidentally, Akshay Kumar, who enacts one of the key roles in the film, has expressed a desire to distribute the film. That's true, the maker confirms, He did show his eagerness to distribute the film in C.I. territory [Madhya Pradesh]. But we haven't discussed anything yet. Akshay is currently out of town, so a clearer picture will only emerge once he gets back.
