Kodak Theatre (indoors) and crowd generation

In KI, the Kodak Theatre is full of people clapping and cheering for Akshay Kumar being awarded as the Stunt man of the year. In real, this crowd was generated with around 200 people shot in different positions. "Kodak Theatre has got its own vibe and looks vibrant when it is full of people. Bringing around 4000 people in Kodak Theatre in LA is not an easy task, so we planned to shoot it in layers," says Merzin. Motion control was used which made the shot look more dynamic and real.
