The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 is coming to an end this weekend on May 27. The first qualifier match of the IPL 2018 took place on Tuesday, May 22 when Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by two wickets. The Chennai team now will gear up to face the winner of the second qualifier match in the final of the tournament on 27 May. Ranveer Singh, a sports enthusiast, was in attendance at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai last night.
Many celebrities attended the first qualifier match in Mumbai. Among them was Ranveer Singh besides music director Pritam and South superstar Venkatesh. Ranveer was seen smiling and enjoying the match with the IPL Commissioner Rajiv Shukla in the VIP lounge. He had taken his father Jagjit Singh Bhavnani for the match and when the cameras panned at them, they were seen smiling.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh has wrapped up Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. The film stars Alia Bhatt in the lead and Ranveer will essay the role of a street rapper. The film will release on February 14, 2019. The actor will soon start shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Simmba starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead. The film is set for December 28, 2018 release. He is also starring as former Indian Captain Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's '83. The film is based on the story of Indian Cricket Team winning World Cup in 1983.
