“Sonali Bendre is my hero” says Anupam Kher : Bollywood News

A while back, actress Sonali Bendre shocked one and all when she revealed that she was suffering from cancer. Following the revelation, almost everyone from the industry banded together wishing the actress a speedy recovery. Well, on his recent trip to the States veteran actor Anupam Kher took some time off to meet Sonali who is there undergoing metastatic cancer treatment.

Taking to Twitter, Anupam Kher shared an image of Sonali Bendre with her chopped hair look and talked about his meeting. Interestingly, Anupam Kher who is regarded as one of the finest actors of today referred to Sonali as his hero saying, “I have done few films with @iamsonalibendre. We’ve met socially many times in Mumbai. She always has been bright & a very warm person. But it is only in the last 15days that I got the opportunity to spend some quality time with her in NY. And I can easily say,”She is my HERO.”????”

Back on the film front, Anupam Kher who was last seen in the film Aiyaary will next be seen in The Accidental Prime Minister. Said to be a biographical political drama film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte The Accidental Prime Minister stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014. Based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru it is scheduled to release on December 21, 2018.
