Nari Hira appoints Ram Kamal as editor of Stardust

Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who has been working as the Vice President and Chief Media Strategist with Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC), since past four years has resigned from his position. He has now been appointed as the Editor of Stardust – India’s widely read film magazine from Mumbai.


Stardust magazine, published by Mumbai-based Magna Publishing Co. Ltd., was started by Nari Hira in 1971 and became popular under the editorship of Shobhaa De. Earlier Ram Kamal worked in Mumbai Mirror (Times of India group) as Assistant Editor, later contributed for Midday, Sunday Midday and Ananda Bazar Patrika. His column Ram Katha, in Mumbai Mirror was a popular segment related to Bollywood. He started his career as a film-journalist with The Asian Age in Kolkata. He has also written a coffee table book on Hema Malini – Diva Unveiled. This book fetched him fame and recognition.
