Madhavan signed as brand ambassador for Wagon R

Every brand has its own ambassador, and making no exception is the popular car brand Maruti-Suzuki who has recently signed on actor R. Madhavan as the brand ambassador for their Wagon R series. A notable fact is that till date Wagon R never had a brand ambassador.
Stated Maruti Suzuki Chief General Manager Marketing - Shashank Srivastava that Madhavan is well known across the country and is not divided as a face of the North or the South and this was an important fact, which led them to choose him. Additionally, he being a superstar in the South will only add to the brand's popularity in the South Indian markets.
The ad campaign featuring the actor with the tag line 'Smart ideas lead the world' will be launched soon. This will include TVC, radio, print, OOH and digital media.
For Madhavan, this is indeed a big endorsement deal. Meanwhile, on the films front, he is currently gearing up for two big releases Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots which stars Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor and Leena Yadav's Teen Patti which features him along side legendary actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley.
