Lata Mangeshkar to render Hanuman Chalisa for T-Series album

Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar has sung all kinds of songs in her illustrious career, but for the first time ever, the Lady with the Golden Voice would be singing the Hanuman Chalisa for an album by T-Series. As recession, drought and the swine flu fear looms large over the country, Lata Mangeshkar is devoting her prayers to Lord Hanuman (who is often regarded as the trouble-shooter) for the betterment of the country and its citizens.
What is noteworthy is the fact that even though Lataji is known for her devotional songs, this is the first time that she would be rendering the Hanuman Chalisa.
Says Lata Mangeshkar, "We are going through tough times and Hanumanji is known as 'Sankatmochan'. In my 60-year career, I have not sung his praises. It just occurred to me now to sing the Hanuman Chalisa... the time is right for me to seek his blessings."
We hope that Lataji's rendition of Hanuman Chalisa is loved not just by her ardent followers but even the Almighty himself.
