Mani Ratnam hospitalized

The highly respected and renowned film director Mani Ratnam, was admitted in a hospital on Tuesday night after he complained of breathing problems and discomfort in his chest. The film director is currently recuperating and would be allowed to resume work after resting for a couple of days. Nikhil Murugan, Mani's spokesman, said "Doctors said there was nothing to panic and the director is healthy."
The director, who introduced Oscar-winning musician A. R. Rahman in Roja, had survived a heart attack in 2004, while he was filming the multi-starrer, bi-lingual Yuva.
Mani Ratnam who has made blockbusters like Dil Se, Roja and Kannathil Muthamittal, is currently involved in a project, tentatively titled Ravan, which stars the National award winner Vikram along with Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and others.
