Madhavan takes 13 B director for a holiday to create a sequel Click here to add this article to My Clips

R Madhavan Someone somewhere has jumped the gun rather badly. Not only have there been announcements in sections of the media about a sequel to the fairly successful spook story 13 B, there's also talk of two sequels with the titles 13 C and 13 D.

But the 13 B leading man Madhavan is clueless about these sequels. ''We did 13 B and that was a great experience. A sequel would depend entirely on whether we have a suitable script or not. We aren't jumping on the sequel bandwagon just because it's the done thing right now. Doesn't take long for the done thing to become the dumb thing.''

Maddy has thought of an ingenious method of getting a sequel out of the imagination. He has decided to take his 13 B director Vikram Kumar on all all-expenses paid holiday.

''I'm taking Vikram to the Middle East. Just me and him. Two boys doing all the rugged outdoor stuff like bungee jumping and mountain climbing. Sooner or later an idea for a sequel is bound to come up in that adventurous environment. Even if it doesn't we'll come back after loads of fun. So it's a win-win situation.''

The Tamil version of 13 B is such a hit that the Tamil version of Ram Gopal Varma's Darling (remember the film with Esha Deol playing a ghost?) featuring Madhavan and Shamita Shetty is now being released.
