Adult comedies can never go out of fashion. Youth compromise the largest chunk of moviegoing audience and they patronize such comic capers. Hence, the makers can hit a gold mine if they are able to come up with a well-made film in this genre. Kyaa Kool Hain Hum is a classic example and hence a lot of expectations were pinned on Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. The promos seemed wacky and crazy and one expected loads of entertainment. However, the film is funny but only at select places. Storyline is absent, script is weak and many gags fall flat! The story of the movie: Adi (Tusshar Kapoor) and Sid (Riteish Deshmukh) are buddies and roommates. While Adi is a struggling actor, Sid is a DJ. Sid additionally also makes money through his ‘Vicky Donor’ dog, Sakru! Problem arises when Adi falls for Simran (Neha Sharma) while Sid gets charmed by Neha (Sarah Jane Dias). At the same time, both lose something valuable and to retrieve, they embark on a trip to Goa. The film gets madder as Adi and Sid meet many more crackpots in Goa like Marlowe (Anupam Kher), Baba 3G (Chunky Pandey), Trippy (Kavin Dave), Adam (Howard Rosemeyer) and Popat (Razzak Khan). Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum begins well with the intro of Tusshar. The ‘Ektha Tiger’ was very witty and smart! Few more scenes and dialogues too raise a lot of laughs. My best scene has to be the one where Adi visits a tarot card reader…hilarious! Also, since the film was shot recently, the film has lot of gags on, as aforementioned, Ek Tha Tiger and also ACP Vasant Dhoble, Vicky Donor, Diana Penty, Sunny Leone and many other recent people and films that made news. However, the minuses outnumber these plusses. For one, the film doesn’t have a concrete story. Nothing happens for most part of the film and goes on and on aimlessly. Songs shockingly start playing suddenly, startling audiences. Both Dil Garden Garden and Hum To Hain Cappuccino were worth a listen but are pathetically incorporated in the film. Also, too many double meaning and adult jokes were inserted everywhere, some just for the heck of it. ‘Adult film hai after all…har line mein vulgar joke hona chahiye’ is what the director and writers assumed it seems! The film boasted of extremely interesting characters like Marlowe and Baba 3G but they were not wisely utilized. The climax was a letdown and so was the homosexual track of Adam. All in all, a good opportunity gone waste! Speaking of performances, Riteish Deshmukh delivered a sincere performance and gave just the right amount of madness as per the script’s demand. In fact, he was in many ways one of the saving graces of the film! Tusshar tries his best but fails in many scenes, especially the scene where he spoofs John Abraham’s darebare act of Dostana. That Neha calls him ‘hot’ at the point make things worse! The actor had a great 2011 thanks to Shor In The City and The Dirty Picture but disappointed in 2012 first with Chaar Din Ki Chandni and now Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum. Hope he gets his act right in Shootout At Wadala and Bhaiyyaji Superhitt! Neha Sharma looks stunning and acts well. Sarah Jane Dias is hot but her performance was strictly okay. Anupam Kher was weird in several scenes. Chunky Pandey played a funny character that was in a way wasted. Same goes for Kavin Dave. Howard Rosemeyer puts his best foot forward. Razzak Khan was anything but funny! Rohit Shetty’s cameo was too good, though! Music is good but as said before, doesn’t make impact as it was unnecessarily forced into the narrative. Sanjoy Chowdhury’s background score was alright and so was Ravi Walia’s cinematography. Story was in a way non-existent which is still okay if the maker compensates with good performances, dialogues and direction. Sadly, even performances were not upto the mark and the same goes for the other two. Some dialogues were terrific and hit the bullseye while the rest were plain ordinary, taking away the charm. Some scenes didn’t make an iota of sense. Anu’s wardrobe malfunction was unconvincing. Also, the manner in which Adi-Sid’s car gets smashed into pieces just went above my head! Couldn’t they have thought of something better? Baba 3G and his ‘dhongi’ acts could have been a highlight of the film. But the makers failed to see its potential. Damn unfortunate! On the whole, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum is a loss of a golden opportunity. The film entertains only in parts and overall, it’s a bummer! Thumbs down! P.S.: Watch out how the dog is called both Fakhru as well as Sakru!

the film had everything what was expected from the promos of the film bad jokes, vulgarity, double meaning lines this time no need to think much because most of the double meaning dialogues are just straight forward.still i didn't enjoy the film.if you are comedy lover and like such adult comedies then you are in for a treat.i barely smiled in the film laughing is out of question.even if the film had stupid yet engaging story i would have felt better but the story is worse.the jokes itself are so bad(for me) that one need not bother about the story.music is quite good.direction was a cakewalk for any director.all the actors performed their parts nicely.overall if you like adult comedies go for it else stay away from it.
