The commercial kicks off with Phil, Claire, and Cam reacting to a cute photo sent by Hayley (Sarah Hyland) in the family group chat. Mitch, Cam’s husband, walks in only to discover he’s been left out of this text exchange. With a classic Mitch reaction, he exclaims, “You started a family chat without me?” and follows up with his iconic line: “Shaaame!”

 

Resolving digital miscommunication

 

Despite Mitch’s dramatic reaction, the family quickly explains that his new phone is the issue, not intentional exclusion. Claire explains that Mitch's phone causes ‘blurry photos and weird likes.’ A painter outside their window suggests switching to WhatsApp for a seamless messaging experience, resolving the issue humorously and efficiently.
