Renuka Shahane talks about her Circus co-star Shah Rukh Khan, “You ask him to work for 36 hours at a stretch, he would do it without complaining”

Renuka Shahane’s first role on Indian television was in the serial Circus. She played Shah Rukh Khan's character's love interest during a time when he was still relatively unknown. In a recent interview, Renuka shared her views on Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. She lauds him for his wit, acting skills and praises how good a co-actor he is.

Renuka recently discussed Shah Rukh Khan's first impression with Pinkvilla, saying that he reminded her of a typical “Delhi” lad. Renuka told Pinkvilla, “He was a Delhi boy, very brash. I was pretty new at that time and I was taken aback by his confidence.”

 

Lauding Shah Rukh Khan as an actor, she added, “He is witty, very intelligent. That was very good. He is a great co-actor. Because he comes from theatre, he improvises the scenes, and gets the tone right, that was always a part of how he worked. He is so professional. You ask him to work for 36 hours at a stretch, he would do it without complaining about it.”

 

On the professional front, Renuka was last seen in Govinda Naam Mera featuring Vicky Kaushal, Kira Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. She started her career with the Marathi film Hach Sunbaicha Bhau. She also featured in Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer Hum Aapke Hain Koun.

 

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan is currently basking in the success of Pathaan. He will be next seen in Jawan and Dunki.
