Randeep Hooda feels that theatres should reopen soon considering everything is opening

The theatres in India were shut down a week before the nationwide lockdown in March owing to the pandemic. While the country is unlocking in phases, there are no hints at theatres reopening anytime soon. The theatre business has therefore suffered massive losses with no release in the past 6 months.

Actor Randeep Hooda while talking to a leading daily gave his opinion on the reopening of theatres. He said that theatres have reopened several places abroad and the movies have been getting a good response. He also said that for the consumption of movies to start, the manufacturing of movies also needs to start. The actor further said that he is sure that the film associations and the Government will come up with a solution for the same.

While the actor is not sure when the theatres should open, he feels that it should be considered as everything else is opening up, keeping all safety guidelines in mind. He further said that he hopes the film industry gets back on its feet at the earliest as many livelihoods depend on it.
