An ecstatic Kirti Kulhari shared a candid photo of her with director Madhur Bhandarkar while the latter explained the scene to her. As the film is set in India’s 18-month Emergency period of 1975, Kirti is seen donning a green colour salwar kameez with braids. She captioned the photo, "A sneak peek into the 70's of Dilli.. With my director @imbhandarkar.. #InduSarkar.. #bobby.. #connaughtplace.."
Indu Sarkar is a story of a girl with a speech impediment who is a poetess. The film stars Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh and the Bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury.
